Invest IT- Where professional trading meets automation

B2B

Web app

InvestIT is an AI-powered automated trading platform that bridges the gap between investors who want to grow their money and expert traders who have the skills to make it happen.

Due to NDA restrictions, I can't share all the original design details and artifacts from this project. However, if you're interested in learning more about my experience at InvestIT or this project, feel free to reach out!

My role

As the sole designer for this project, my responsibilities include working closely with stakeholders to synthesis user requirements, prioritizing outcomes, leading the end-to-end design process, and managing expectations across dev teams.

Defining the problem

Many potential investors lack the time, expertise, or confidence to actively manage their investments.

In today's fast-paced world, many potential investors find themselves in this challenging position. India's retail investor base has grown significantly, with over 80 million Demat accounts as of 2023.

90% of traders in the Indian stock market incur losses (NSE study)

Only 1% of active traders consistently profit (SEBI)

❓How might we empower busy professionals in India to grow their wealth without requiring them to become trading experts?

Defining the solutions

InvestIT bridges the investment gap by combining AI-driven market analysis with expert human oversight

This hybrid approach leverages machine learning to generate trading signals while allowing professional traders to apply their experience for optimal decision-making.

❓How might we create an intuitive interface that seamlessly blends AI-generated insights with human expertise, allowing for both automated and manual trading?

Learnings

Personal growth in leadership

Leading a UX project for the first time was challenging taught me the importance of collaborative decision-making: leveraging diverse perspectives from my team, user feedback, and stakeholder input, we navigated complex challenges and delivered high-quality solutions within tight deadlines.

Testing early and often

We could only conduct three pre-launch tests due to the tight timeline. Despite the limited testing opportunities, we gained firsthand experience of how identifying usability issues early, even during the wireframe stage, could have saved us time and effort later on.

The need for clear communication with the client and teammates

Managing a part-time team while juggling a full-time role felt overwhelming at first, but it quickly became a valuable learning experience in effective communication.

I recognised how crucial it was to keep everyone informed and aligned, so I made it a point to initiate regular check-ins and keep our clients updated on our progress.
